FALL IN COLORADO
September 16 – 26, 2009
We could not have timed this trip better.
The colors were spectacular, but only for the first few days.
A cold front came through and dropped a lot of snow
which froze the leaves and then the wind came
and blew the leaves off the trees.
We were able to make good ground though photographing colors
on Monarch Pass, Cottonwood Pass, and Tin Cup Pass.
Visited Alpine Lake, Chalk Lake, Cottonwood Lake, and Frantz Lake.
Spent time in Buena Vista, Salida, Mt. Prinston, St. Elmo, Chalk Creek, and Cascade Falls.
